Fly Fishing at Kielajoki River
Available: June–August
Join a guided fly fishing trip to the pristine Kielajoki River. Target species include grayling, whitefish, and trout.
Includes: fishing license, gear, expert guide, snacks, and fish handling instruction.

Pick wild berries, mushrooms, and herbs with a local guide. Learn what’s safe to gather and how nature’s gifts can be used.
After the walk, we’ll enjoy tea made from your harvest and help you process the rest to take home.

Reindeer Encounter
Three senior reindeer spend their retirement days at Giellajohka Holiday Village. Join us for a unique encounter and discover what life is like with these gentle animals. Learn fascinating facts about reindeer, get close to them, and feed them by hand while getting memorable pictures.

Northern Pike Fishing

Try your luck catching the mighty northern pike—our local freshwater predator.
Our northern pike are in a class of their own, both in terms of taste and fighting spirit, compared to their southern relatives.

Lake Aksujärvi Fishing Safari
Available: June–September
Hop on a boat for trolling and spin fishing on the crystal-clear waters of Lake Aksujärvi. You can target grayling, trout, perch, whitefish, or pike. We’ll also visit a secret river spot for a final cast.

Sulaoja Spring & Nature Trail
Available: June–October
Visit the sacred Sámi spring of Sulaoja and follow a trail through changing landscapes. Drink from the spring and learn about ancient reindeer hunting traditions.
